It doesn't matter what it is or how big it is I can always lose it. Whether it be my glasses, remote control, keys or favorite drawing pencil, I am forever looking for something. Generally however I am not a forgetful person, I've never really 'lost' many things in life just keep misplacing them.
I just keep misplacing them what it comes down to is habbit, I have always had the habbit of looking round for a second time whenever leaving somewhere to see if I have left anything behind.
If you come back from work and throw everything down during the evening things will probabily be moved around a few times so when it comes to finding them again in the morning you havn't a clue where anything is. Well the things that you need anyway. I know when I'm looking for things it normally creates a stressful situation as I'm running tight for time. It becomes even worse when it's the important things that are misplaced like debit cards, that really starts to get me paniced sometimes.
One solution which on lifehacker.com was to have a box to put all your everyday essentials in, which they made with toilet rolls. This is all very well right? Well it will only work if you always remember to return everything back when your finished with it (without trying to sound like my mum here). Considering every action that you take is a good habit to get into. Slowing things down just that little bit. Having the ability to appreachiate the smaller details of life, taking it all in, like a buddist monk.
So in conclusion its all down to habit, creating good ones will save you time in the long run, maybe even making you a calmer and more productive person as a result. Reducing stress is always a good thing so I will be posting again tomorrow discussing deep breathing, something which has many links to what I've mentioned here; very few people breath properly but another good habit to get used to.
Until next time, many stress free days.
